AUTUMN WALK IN THE WOODS

I met my husband in Oxford, Ohio when I was in school. Nearby the school was a state park, Hueston Woods, where we often took walks on beautiful Fall days. I created this painting many years after-the-fact, from my memory of those walks and this place. The bright colors of the leaves, the contrast of the dark water colors in the stream that ran along the path we were walking on, a metal bridge up ahead, this painting is about the glory of color. What joy color brings to those willing to take the time to really look at it!
